The European Commission has launched an assessment of the appropriateness of introducing a 3rd party certification under the existing ecodesign measures for solid fuel boilers covered under Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1189 and for solid fuel local space heaters covered under Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1185.
The study is carried out by Viegand Maagøe A/S with technical input from Danish Technological Institute and Wuppertal Institut for the European Commission, DG Energy. Contract manager is Viegand Maagøe A/S. The study started mid November 2017 and is expected to be finished by May 2019.
