The European Commission has completed a review study of the regulation on ecodesign and labelling requirements for air conditioners and comfort fans. The study covers the review of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 206/2012 and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 626/2011.

The study was carried out by Viegand Maagøe A/S and ARMINES for the European Commission, DG Energy. Contract manager was Viegand Maagøe A/S. The study started in February 2017 and was finished mid 2018.


This website provides information on the study mainly for EU Member States and stakeholders. 

 

What's new

December 2018: The study team has identified and corrected some mistakes in Task 7 section 7.1.5 describing the calculation method for single and double duct, see the corrections here. Note the method itself was correctly implemented for the analysis, so the quantitative results do not change.  

7 May 2018: The final reports for task 1 – 7 and a summary of stakeholder comments and study team’s actions can be downloaded. The review study is now completed. 

2 March 2018: An updated draft report for task 1 – 2 and a summary of stakeholder comments and study team’s actions are now uploaded.

 

16 January 2018: Template for comments on Task 3-7 draft reports can be downloaded.

1 June 2017: Registration for a stakeholder meeting to be held on 5 July 2017 is now open.
